How are services provided during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Following the CDC's current guidelines regarding COVID-19, I am once again offering therapy inside the home. I am fully vaccinated and completely willing to adjust therapy to fit your comfort level (masks, outdoor session, etc.).
Do I have to have some sort of membership?
I am not a membership-based therapy clinic. I charge for only the sessions that are completed, and you can stop services at any time with no long-term commitment.
How do I know if my child needs feeding therapy?
If your child's eating is negatively impacting his/her life and the family overall, your first step should be to speak to your child’s pediatrician about your concerns. Your pediatrician should be able to tell you whether an evaluation is warranted. If you are still concerned, feel free to contact me with your questions and I will do my best to point you in the correct direction.
What payment methods do you accept?
I currently accept payment via credit card, check, and Venmo.
What is your pricing?
I am happy to discuss my per-session pricing. I have a transparent pricing model that I am happy to discuss with you.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, Underwood Concierge OT is only self-pay. However, I am available for assistance should you decide to pursue reimbursement from your insurance company.
Where do you offer therapy?
Typically, I like to conduct my feeding sessions wherever your child typically consumes his or her meals. However, because my aim is to fit myself within the family's routines, I can also arrange to meet you and your child in the community such as a park or a playground.
What are your qualifications?
I am certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and licensed through the California State Board of Occupational Therapy. I am trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding and Talk Tools: A Sensory-Motor Approach to Feeding.
